nachi-B virus

Hi all, I've just installed avast home and it now tells me that my memory if infected.  I have the nachi-B virus on a windows exe file, but it won't let me clean.  How can i get rid of it, anybody know?...cheers!!

hmm...err...i'm not too sure either...i thought avast should be able remove it...

or maybe you can try this..

Where exactly is the Virus found ? (full path/folder/filename; see avast's report/log)

also apply all Windowsupdates, or it will reappear again

Boot XP into safe mode and run a full scan with avast, it then should be able to remove the virus. If that doesn't work sechdule a preboot scan with avast.
