This is an issue with the windows security center, still retaining information on old data (regular in the forums where it doesn't recognise avast 'is' installed.
You don't say what aOS, guessing Vista as in Vista there is an anti-spyware and anti-virus category to the info, avast could possibly be still showing as the anti-spyware/malware program and nod as the AV ?
