  Hi I have the free Home Edition of Avast which I thought was excellent but I had to reregister again which I did, I have done a complete scan and got 67 errors, but when I click on the fix button nothing happens, what am I doing wrong or what could be wrong, please help me get back to sorting out my problems and thanking you in advance.

Can you post the report here, I mean, the file names and paths?
It's difficult to guess with so little information. Generally, only a few infections could be repaired (like .exe and .com files). The most of them should be sent to Chest to further investigation (delete is NOT the first/better option).
