Little trick:

Start your pc in safe mode open a commandline and typ the following:

notepad C:\WINDOWS\System32:qfiabjd.dll

Delete everything listed by Notepad and safe it afterwards. If that will not work you have to close the explorer.exe task bevor typing the notepad thing.

after a restart you should be able to delete the Hiackthis entries.

I keep getting winfavorites.exe and win32.trojan-gen {VB}, even when I run avast. I get it at least one time a day. Am I not suppose to hit delete when avast detects it or what? And on my laptop I have 4 accounts and one won't run explorer or anything and I keep getting these viruses and I think they are the cause of it. Also in the infected account, I can't view my history. At first gibberish name files appeared in my history, now nothing does.

I do this in command prompt? I don't get what you mean by notepad.

notepad is a text editor and is a part of Windows. But it should be possible to start notepad or maybe also winword and open this file: C:\WINDOWS\System32:qfiabjd.dll

spybot, ad-aware and cwshredder might also help
if you still can't remove it, you could post a logfile of Hijackthis here

Hi,
Install cwshredder, then Update ad-aware, spybot and cwshredder,
then reboot in SafeMode (F8-Boot) and scan& fix TWICE with each  of the 3 programs

then make a new hijckthis-Log, and fix every suspicious startpage/Search-entry, especially everything
in R1, O2, O3 & O16
that you don't know or want to keep
(AcroIEHelper.ocx & msdxm.ocx are harmless & usual)

then reboot normally and come back with a new hijackthis-log if problems remain

 ;)

P.S.: at 1st glance:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoUpdater] "C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe"

FIX it!
See http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php?filter=AutoUpdate.exe&count=&type=

Most important:
Update your WIN and secure your IE (disable ActiveX & scripting except for know, secure sites etc.. -> Use Zones Model)
