I like Sleipnir browser better:

I'd rather rely on well known browsers for security reasons (internet banking...) ;D

I don't do any banking on-line.

I prefer to walk to my bank and do my banking in person.

Walking is good for me plus it gets me out of my apartment for a while.

Well, then, you can test/try any browser I guess! Only to tell internet banking is like phoning my neighbour instead of going his home to tell him he won lottery! ;)

There is nothing wrong with internet banking if all the proper
precautions are taken.

My bank is about 12 miles from my house. To long a walk for an old man..... ;D ;D

As for me, I can't make a definite decision. I can't use Opera - it doesn't show and download images and files in some forums (SMF, for example). I came back to FF+TB, but I am thinking to install SeaMonkey (it is a suit like Opera with its mail client).
May the FOSS be with you!

George Yves,

Have you updated to avast! 4.8.1229?  It fixes the problem of Web Shield blocking images & animations in Opera.

I can see everything in avast! forums (SMF).

You're not "an old stupid monkey", you just were not aware of the fix provided by the update.

You're welcome. :)

Matter of fact, I just downloaded FastDial extension for FF 3.0.1 and I really see no reason why I should switch to Opera 9.51. Some say the tech is different so you're browsing a bit safer with Opera nowadays. I don't know! ;D

Chargers -

Opera has been my default browser for the past 3 or 4 years. Just before choosing Opera, I did a test on all the available browsers at the time (documented somewhere in the old Off Topic forum) and that testing led me to use Opera. Of course, some things have changed since then but as someone above mentioned, the more I use Opera, the better I like it.

You also mentioned in an above post about having high memory usage with Opera. Something does not seem quite right about that. With 10 tabs open at the present, my Opera 9.51 memery usage is a little over 130,000k which I do not think is bad considering that many active tabs.
