Avast! 4 Pro Edition - Distributed Network Manager
« on: August 02, 2008, 05:15:34 AM »
I have recently purchased 2 licenses of Avast! Professional Edition and installed it in 2 workstations which are not connected to the Internet. I need to update the antivirus database using a separate PC which is connected to the internet.
Questions:
1. Were do I get the ADNM license? As per the website, it should be free of charge if I have purchased more than 2 licenses of Professional Edition.
2. Can I install the ADNM software on a PC with a Symantec Anti-virus Sofwtare installed on it?
3. Can I install the ADNM software on a PC with a Symantec Administrative Network management software. I am using this PC to manage/update other PC which are using Symantec Anti-virus Software.
4. What is the procedure if I need to purchase additional Avast! 4 Profesional licenses.

Thanks

There is a forum specifically about the ADNM, so I don't know if that would be a better place to ask, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=10.0.

See, http://www.avast.com/eng/adnm.html and downloads, http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html.

Sorry I'm unable to answer your other questions.

You have to install avast! Managed Client versions of the workstations, not avast! Professional.
If you'll have only ADNM installed on the PC, i.e. not avast! Antivirus itself, I guess it should be able to coexist with Symantec AV.
