I have used Avast for some months ( W98, Int Expl) and everything works just fine.
I decided to try Firefox but Avast seems to ignore Firefox.
When browsing with Firefox - no spinning balll - no response to Eicar-test - no nothing.
How can J make Avast notice Firefox, what (elementary ?) setting have i missed?

i guess you will need to customise your resident shield protection before avast can scan archives...
