Outlook 2000 wont send email

After installing Avast I cannot send email.  Everything is configured correctly, Sygate, Outlook, Avast, but I cannot send email.  I can receive, but not send.  If i turn off Avast it will still not send....

so i guess it's not avast's fault....maybe try checking your smtp settings again...

I have looked at the smtp in outlook and it is mail.gateway-community.com for both which it has always been.  

What else can I look at.

I have the Sygate allowing email scanning service and antivirus service.

run the avast mail wizard again....are you using ms outlook or outlook express?
