avast! doesn't feel like an AV

I don't know what all the fuss is about.

I used the GUI once to insure the settings were the recommended ones and to insure that I don't have un-necessary services running so now I just have the little blue ball down in the Taskbar and I can do and see all I need to from clicking on it.

Symantec Norton antivirus has probably the best GUI... unluckly is not free it's heavy on resources and it sucks as AV.

They are bad programmers but they are great in commercial things...they know how to sell their product.

I hope Avast 5.0 will take insipiration from Norton GUI

As I told, I'm just by accident using the simple user interface, without any themes and just LOVE IT  Just go to modify through Control Panel and unselect Themes!

Or change the avast4.ini settings to not use skins
