I don't like the new member map since it is murder on dial-up, not to mention everyone posting huge images of their map pin ;D ;D

Even going into your Profile to edit your Forum Profile Information, starts of the bl**dy map display. Looks like I will have to see if I can block that with adblockplus.

mine's very fast as you can tell by my download and upload speeds-click on pic to enlarge ::)
but sometimes i forget of the least fortunate that have dial-up and such :)
it would help to put you jpg's and etc...in the additional options-attach files function
when you are posting like the ones below :)

AdBlockPlus does work, I have blocked maps.google.com and when I open my profile, Forum Profile Information, the map no longer gets loaded.

It isn't their systems that aren't fast enough, but their internet connection (e.g. dial-up) that hampers browsing with media intense sites/pages ;D
My new system is very fast, bullet train fast, but my internet connection is steam train slow ;D

Some of those old steam trains were no slouches:

When I was a kid my mum put me on a steam train from Durham down to London to stay with my grandmother for summer vacation.  I remember well the smell of the hot steam and oil and getting off the train reeking of it.

This is a replica which can be seen in the National Rail Collection at York. The original could reach more than 29 mph and haul 12.75 tons at 14 mph. It set a world speed record of 35 mph.

Woops. Sorry, I was referring to it's blocking ability against "bad" ads. And yes, it can block other images. Thanks for the correction David.
