IE won't load
« on: August 30, 2008, 10:25:31 PM »
Hi,
I've installed Avast home edition today following an unistall of Norton. All seems well apart from IE wont load but, I am connected to the internet and my Outlook is working fine.

There were about 4-5 files deleted when the reboot and scan of the computer's drives and I'm thinking these were needed to load up IE?

Any thoughts welcome.

Bob

I hope Norton uninstall does not remove IE files...
More probably, there are remains of Norton. Please, follow:
1) Remove NAV through Add/Remove programs from Control Panel. Boot.
2) Use Norton Removal Tool for Windows 2000/XP/Vista. Boot.
3) Install avast! (or repair the installation) and boot.
