windows 95 download 'true' size
« on: September 06, 2008, 05:04:22 AM »
Greetings,

     Newbie to these forums.

I am puzzled by a W95 VPS update this day: version 080905-0

I'm accustomed to checking the 'heads up' file size indication and
expect once that file file size has been downloaded  - for the update
process to proceed followed by a window notifying completion of the
update.

On this occasion the declared file size was about 350K. Fine.
But, the download proceeded to over 400K.

I just want correlations between stated download size and actual
download size.

Anyone, please clarify what may have occured.

     Thanks,

GA

Is it so serious? ???
I mean, maybe while updating, the setup process detect some other incremental file was necessary to correct update... 50k is not that much...

Hello Tech person,

     Thank you for your response.

I will monitor how often this 'on the fly' download increase in
size - beyond that stated in the download panel - occurs.
