error updating ..

hey let me say great proggy however after about maybe a month or 2 i keep getting errors saying there was an error updating when i click it it does nothing .. even through optios in update the update now button does nothing any ideas or should i reinstall?

Try updating manually. Does that work?

nope .. when i select manual or automatic it just hangs liek a dead link on a  web site only with no errror message popping up ... almost like its missing "something"

What operating system are you using? Can you start the Task Manager, and check that a process called "avast.setup" is not on the list of active processes? And if it is, kill it and retry the update?
