Incorrectly told Avast is out of date?
« on: September 21, 2008, 11:21:21 PM »
Hi, not sure if this is right place to post but need some help.

Last week I had a message pop up from Windows Security Center saying that my virus protection was out of date so I went onto the Avast! website and got a new licence key which shut WSC up. Today though, I got exactly the same pop up from WSC even though it says my liscence key is valid until 1/12/09. I'm using Avast! vers. 4.8 Home Edition, is there any updates I need for the program or is WSC just lying to me  :-\

Thanks for any help!
Florie xx

EDIT:
Typical! Situation resolved just as my message gets posted  :-X How can I delete this topic?

I suppose you're system time and date were wrong, weren't they? ;)

But don't worry about that.

You can set for them to be automatically downloaded. Check the proper options in the Update (Basic) and (Connections) pages of Program Settings.
