Consistency between avast pro and avast kerio plugin

We use avast on the desktop/Outlook plugin and also as a plugin to our Kerio mail server, with the mail server configured to  delete infected messages.  Both are showing current virus databases, yet an infected email just got through the mail server and was then trapped on the desktop by the Outlook plugin.  Is this correct behaviour?

If the reason is an infected mail (not a suspicious one detected by heuristics) I would say it's not the common behavior as both of them will base their detections on the virus database, that is the same for both.
