Blocked on IE8 b2 and Windows Update

This is a warning to anybody who would have the bad idea of installing brand new IE 8 b2 and using a lot of registry cleaner. I cannot use anymore my windows Update feature since the new tool for Windows Update doesn't want to install and this appears to be linked to IE 8 b2. So no more updates and exposures to hackers and viruses. An option is to format everything and reinstall Vista or to wait after IE8 final edition crossing my fingers it would install the same successfully from IE 8 b2. Back up options like Norton Ghost would have been helpful! >:(

Microsoft beta testing? For what? What did we get it working for them for free? They give us nothing for beta testing... no thanks.
