The Bat! Pro 4.0.34 and Avast Plugin

This is a continuation of this topic here:

The Bat! Pro is again staying in memory after exiting when the Avast plugin for The Bat! is active. Removal of the avast plugin cures the problem. So sometime over the last couple of days the plugin has become broken again. I've reinstalled Avast, updated, and same problem. At the moment I've had to revert to Internet Mail on access scanner again.

Is there a fix on the horizon?

Thanks.

Forgot to mention: Using Avast 4.8.1229 HE

Well, yes, I linked to that thread in my post. In fact I posted in that thread about the earlier problem as well. So, is that an updated plugin? because I was using that one..the one in the link..the one posted originally as a fix. So if it hasn't changed since being made available I am probably going to have the same problem...unless my updated plugin has been replaced somehow.

Anyhow, as you don't say whether or not the link is to an updated version I'll d/l it again and try it.

Thanks

No, the plugin wasn't updated since the particular post was made... but it should work.
So yes, please check if the file wasn't changed on your computer.

Thankyou.

Hmm, I'm trying to work out how the plugin got replaced by the earlier one, because reinstalling the one from that link fixed it again. So, the problem is cured once again, which is great, and it means that it is obviously something I did. Anyhow, many apologies for wasting your time.

Thanks

The "real" update, containing the fixed plugin, should be released soon.
(I'd expect a public beta in about a week...)
