Can't update my AVAST home free with VPS update

I can't update, the VPS I get the message
Ver : 4.8.1229
SI : 0x00000002
ST: 0xFFFFFFFF
LE : 0x00000000

The automatic update doesn't work also.

I can't uninstall the avast product....

And what happen when you try?

Have you tried and repair avast from the Control Panel?
