avast 4.8 with other malware programs

my system: intel celeron 40GB/ 2.9 ghz /512 ram

currently, i have spybot 1.6 (without the teatimer and resident protector); spyware blaster 4.1;
Ad-aware 7.1 (free edition) no ad-watch; windows defender 1.1 and netveda 3.8 for firewall in addition to the avast 4.8 home.

i think this is overkill.   would you recommend to me what i need besides the avast 4.8 home?

i have had a problem with playing an online game (webkinz) as my computer keeps spiking to 100%.  now, this happened before i added windows defender, but i've been trying to check if there is malware on my system slowing down my computer.

Poor detection rates... you can get rid of it...

Some users reported it picked up some infections.
Others (including myself) see very little usage on it.

thank you for the information - i deleted the windows defender & ad-aware so my system is running better.

So I suggest using the on-demand scanners: SUPERantispyware, or MBAM or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete than.
