Cannot Start Networking
« on: October 21, 2008, 10:10:29 PM »
I just purchased Avast Bart CD (Servicemen) and everything works great except the networking portion.  When I select start networking it runs through the process without errors, but when I select TCP Setup, some systems (Dell 630 430 830, Optiplex 620, 745 with Broadcom nics) it states cannot find compatible adapter and on HP systems (D530, 7600 same nic) it brings up the settings menu but another GetInfo type error appears.  Anyone know a solution or is this a bug?    I have had no issues with connecting these computers to the network via Ghost boot cd, ERD Commander, Win PE etc.   I submitted a ticket to support but just want some input.  Thanks.

Well, I suppose this must indeed be caused by missing drivers.
Have you tried the BART v3 beta? It's actually pretty stable, and will be released soon (replacing the current version).

It is based on the Vista SP1 kernel and all the mainstream storage/NIC drivers should be available out of the box.
