Entering License Key

Hi

I hope this isn't a stupid question. I've purchased a license for Avast 4 Pro and entered it into the Registration popup on the startup screen. I got a message saying the insertion of the license was successful. However, the Avast startup screen displays "Standard Release License: ..." and then a string of characters which is not the same as the license key I entered. Is this correct, or should the screen be displaying the key I entered?

It should display the key as entered, but without the second part.
Are you saying that even the first part is different? What does it show then?
