Cannot log off or turn Computer off

Every time I try to log off or try to turn the computer off. Avast tells me a cd is in the CD drive (when there isn't ) and does not let me log off or turn the computer off. I have to stop Avast from running to be able to log off or turn off computer

You checked off "Settings\Common\Check CDs in drive when you logging off". Althought you dont have a CD in the drive, your virtual CD has been detected.

I had removable disk checked uncheced that and problem solved. Thanks PK

Floppy detection must be different from CD detection... Strange pk...  ::)
