avast! reached a very nice ADVANCED+ award for scanning performance trashing most of the competition easily.
I think this is another thing to be placed on teh front page.

I don't know whilst this retrospective/proactive test is more geared to those AVs with heuristic detections I think the generic and algorithmic signatures are improving, more so that the last retrospective/proactive test in May 2008, but we will have to wait and see how these and some of the improvements in recent updates stand up.

Virtually all of the AVs take a hit to their ranking with only two advanced+ rankings, with the majority on Standard and some unranked.

Really true... This is why I don't expect proactive protection of avast will be as good as the other av-comparatives tests.
