Help Please - Cannot recieve/accept e mails

Now that I have downloaded the software package ( 4.8 ), I cannot receive or send E mail via Outlook.  I must terminate my anti virus protection for Outlook to work.  I am sure its only a simple command, but I a not a computer expert.  Could someone please help.  Appreciate the assistance.     Bilgax  ???

1. don't terminate the AV, terminate the Internet Mail provider, that way your trousers aren't entirely round your ankles.

2. this is most likely your firewall blocking the above process.

However, what is your email client MS Outlook or Outlook Express ?
Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashMaiSv.exe internet access ?
- If it does delete the entry for it and check for your email, this will force the firewall to ask permission again.
