Hi YoKenny,

Hosts files can be tampered with by malware, and do the malcreants know this.
There are better encrypted ways to protect. All things you protect needs looking after,
it is just as with children, so it is in the digital world, you have to look after your bits and bytes,

Hi YoKenny,

Hosts files can be tampered with by malware, and do the malcreants know this.

That is why Windows Defender monitors it and notifies so quickly.

WinPatrol monitors it but it takes about 5-10 seconds to notify about a change.

By the way, our local Santa Clause parade was today so the Jolly man is in town taking orders for PlayStation, Wii and X Box games for the kiddie's Weapons Of Mass Destruction pleasure.
