I would like to ask which is the most effective spam-killer which is compatible with avast antivirus home edition.

I use Spampal  at http://www.spampal.org/

The open source project is extremely stable, I have found I only need to use the dnsbls and the url plugin to detect over 98% of spam with virtually no false positives.  Their great online documentation discusses how to config for avast and other antivirus programs.

Their online support forums are really good also.

I got to know the program "spamihilator" by reading these forums, and I installed it...the program hasn't failed me since then :d

- spamihilator is free
- has lots off addons/plugins
- not that heavy to install
- very userfriendly
- compatible with avast.
