How to disable/close the update popup
« on: November 27, 2008, 03:49:05 AM »
Is there any way to disable the blue popup window that comes up whenever Avast has updated something?  There seems to be no way to close it other than to click on it and have it bring up status.  My preference is that it not popup at all, but it would be nice to have a way to close it when I don't care about the status.

I see that there's an option to have it first check for fullscreen apps.  While that's nice, I want that feature enabled all the time.

avast > program settings > Update Settings (Basic) > Details > Uncheck the box "Show sliding box after automatic update" > "OK"

If you ignore this box that re-assures that avast is working well then it just goes away of its own accord with no action by you.  If a problem should occur and you are no longer protected by the regular updates then you will miss the red warning popup advising you of the problem.
