Turning off automatic update.

How do i turn off the automatic virus definition/program update downloading?

I know the files are usually very small, i'm more annoyed by the voice and pop-up message.

Tu turn off automatic updates, start the program and click the 'Automatic Updates' field.

turn off updates?...why do you want to use an anit-virus without updated virus definitions?

maybe you should just disable those popups...

Don't know how i missed that, just started using and everything is a bit wierd .

I play online games and when avast updates, my ping goes sky high for a moment and the pop-up notifying that the update is complete shows partially thru the game.

I will of course update manually time to time. But as always, avast will be lonely since viruses avoid my computer, what's a virus, can't remember .
