strange from avast

at the end of scanning avast say "founded some files CAB damaged on disk E. In my pc E is a partition with all the restore system files (xp home). I never used, exept to make the copy from partition to DVD, how is possible avast found  that?

Could be nothing that the file is bad packed (by the original packer, maybe Windows, maybe the notebook manufacturer). Maybe just a difference in the packaging pattern. I won't worry and even delete/change the original file.

I think your partition is well corrupted. Try formatting the drive and also make a full scan after performing it.
I won't do that... really, too aggressive for nothing... an avast warning about a corrupted package... don't worth the headache.

what about dvd I made it? may be are they corrupted too?

Do you mean a recovery DVD?
I don't think so... even the recovery partition, let it there.
If you want, run chkdsk /R command (or schedule at boot time) to correct any error in the file system.
