It's almost identical to when we participate in beta programs for avast ... we are expected to keep up with refreshes by reading the forums rather than being automatically alerted.

All of the Microsoft bulletins have wording like (my italics) ...

But it sure sounds like you need to go get it yourself.

I do not like to wait for automatic update to kick in so as soon as I know that an update is available I go and get it through Windows Update manually.
