Why are you thinking that is avast which is blocking that sites?
If they're clean, WebShield won't stop them to be loaded.
Which firewall do you use?

Some of those links you listed are badly formed and won't open at all... not because avast is blocking them.

The only one you listed that 'Webshield' blocks for me is this one:

http://www.3322.org
(I see a webshield pop-up when I try it with a note, 'Malicious site')

This one opens okay...

The network shield does alert on 3322.org, so it didn't get as far as the web shield for me.

If you pause the network shield you would get there (assuming the web shield didn't object), however avast isn't the only one blocking/alerting on 3322.org, WOT (Web Of Trust) does as well.

My mistake, these dumb numerical only sites are widely used for chinese scam. One of the subdomains was hosting mailicious content though and I made the wrong assumption that the entire domain is worth blocking.

Not entirely wrong, you weren't alone as WOTs ranking isn't too good, http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/3322.org.
