WinPatrol Hijack Log
« on: December 16, 2008, 07:31:14 PM »
WinPatrol has a Hijack Log similar to HijackThis.  It gives more info than HijackThis, but no option to delete or repair.  This is safer because the unknowledgeable can't do any damage.

It can be found under WinPatrol's Options tab.

There is another which just reports initially, something called DDS (doesn't do squat), some info in the forum you and I can visit. But, I guess like most analysis tools you need guidance rather than blunder through (and do some serious damage) if you don't know what you are doing.

The output will show which registry entries to delete (run, appints, BHO's etc) along with associated files/drivers/services  all can be taken out then with other tools.

rdmaloyjr, I never payed that much attention for that log. Thanks for posting.
But, like David said, it will require a technician to analyze.
