Will Avast 4 Home for Linux identify files with Win32 viruses?
« on: December 17, 2008, 04:24:41 PM »
In the interest of never forwarding anything to a Windows or Mac user with a virus, will my LInux Avast identify viruses for other platforms?

Thank you to anyone who knows the answer,
Don

Hallo,
yes, it will detect also Linux and Mac malware (note that the virus definition database 400.vps is the same, binary-very-same file for all platforms).
