How do you open logfiles?

Sorry for being a thicko but I can view the logfiles by right clicking the icon but how to you open them to read the content?

If the file suffix is ".log", they can be opened in notepad.
Just right click it, select "open with", browse to notepad, select and tick "always use this program...."

Logs are in this folder
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\
