Interface on 800x600
« on: December 29, 2008, 09:56:11 AM »
I am using Avast! Home Edition for Linux (Ubuntu 8.10), but if you have 800x600 resolution you can't see the whole interface.
This could be fixed if the interface would be more 4:3 compatible (not 3:4 like it is now); there is a lot of horizontal space on the desktop with the current GUI implementation.

Hallo,
this is a matter of personal taste - some people, on the other hand, would like to have it not-as-horizontal (such application tends to be covered by other windows etc.).

But, you can set the desktop size bigger than the physical scren resolution - then, you can see the 800x600 area of bigger desktop. I  the case of accessibility - alt-leftclick is also useful for copinjg with biig windows...
