After booting in Avast, the simple user interface is out of screen to top and am unable to start. I have 4.3 home, build 4.8.1296,toolkit 1.9.4.0, active skin 4.2.7.3, database 090104-0

Your version is way out of date. Update now.

It isn't way out of date, the 4.3 is I believe a typo as the build given of 4.8.1296 is the latest version. mzracer's VPS is also in date.

Left click (and hold) somewhere near the bottom edge on the Simple User Interface and drag it down so the SUI is fully in view somewhere where you want it to be located.

Or, right click on the taskbar tab for the SUI and select Move, you can use the arrow keys to move it down, left or right, etc. or move the mouse pointer to it and you will see the cross arrows of the move you should then be able to drag it into location.

Thank you all for your response and especially DavidR. I didn't realize I had to use the arrows to do the move.
