HI I was wondering if someone could answer some questions about avast home edition for me.

I was wanting to now when avast is updating does it have a silent feature that it will update automatically by itself without out bugging me about every update while I am playing a game or surfing the internet?

Does the lasted avast come with a build in firewall?

Does avast work with Windows Firewall on Windows Vista?

Does the avast lasted version work with Firefox browser?

go to settings (rightclick avast-icon --> settings) --> update (simple) --> details --> check silent.

No, a firewall is not available for Avast Antivirus 4.8 (yet).

Does avast work with Windows Firewall on Windows Vista?

Yes (of course) - everything should work smoothly

Does the avast lasted version work with Firefox browser?

i don't use firefox but i'd say yes
(probably some additional settings should be done, but i can't clarify that... for sure someone else can )

I (and the folks I support) have used avast for more than 4 years along with the Firefox browser and have never had to make any changes in avast or Firefox to provide outstanding protection.
