bad Memories!

My pc had been earlier infected with a win 32 bravix [drp]....and some win 32 pakes.......... after that my pc became wacky and strange popups started appearing.... i had my pc reformatted pls tell me how to avoid such viruses!!!!! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :'( :'(

Check for out-of-date and insecure software and update, first and foremost:

Are you currently running an active Firewall that provides outbound protection? If not there are a few decent free ones available.
