I am a Chinese user.Bitcomet and Bitspirit are the most popular BT client here, but it's a pity that I only see Bitcomet in the list of p2p shield.
I hope it can be added into the p2p shield in the next version of avast!.

If Bitspirit can have your AV scan files on completion of the download then the ashQuick.exe file is what you tell it to use.
Assuming that you installed avast! in the default folder (not accounting for the different language), this is the path needed to scan downloads, C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe

I also use BitSpirit, if I add AV scan files on completion of the download in BitSpirit options can I disable the p2p shield in Avast to save system ressources?

You will be releasing virtually nothing if you are using a P2P application not on the list the P2P shield will be idle. However if you used another you wouldn't have to remember to enable the protection.

You could if you wish though Terminate the P2P shield, left click the avast 'a' icon, from the window that opens, click the Details... >> button (if one is displayed) and select the P2P shield, click Terminate and answer Yes to the Persist question or it will be restarted on the next boot.

Check your resources, before and after terminating and you will barely notice any difference.

You would probably be better served doing an audit on non-essential applications running in the background, it seems everyone and their friend wants to run their program on boot when you install it. Media players are probably one of the worst, you only need it when you click on a media file.
