Avast scans everytime I restart, I need help
« on: July 09, 2007, 07:49:48 AM »
When I restart my computer avast wants to do a scan.
I remember I clicked this ability when I installed it, but now I don't want it. Is there a way to reverse it?
By the way, I'm using avast home edition.

When you schedule a boot-time scan, it's performed only once - and automatically unscheduled.
Are you saying the you're getting the boot-time scan on every reboot now?

If it happens each boot, how to disable the scan at boot?
Could you please start regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager, select the value BootExecute and export it to a file? If you could post the file as an attachment here, I would like to check what could be wrong there.
