Blocking online games and MSN messenger
« on: February 21, 2009, 06:22:17 AM »
My son has become sort of game addict and I want to block all online game servers (at least what he accesses) from the router. My router is DIR 855.

What is the best way to do this?

How can I block MSN messenger from my router?

avast, as an anti-virus, is not designed to implement parental controls. Many routers offer the kinds of parental controls you seem to seek; it may be best to look there for these options.

Thanx. What are ports that I should block on my router? How do I figure out?

A good parental control: www.k9webprotection.com
It's free, very configurable ;)
