Mail Problems
« on: February 06, 2009, 04:40:17 PM »
I'm using the free version of avast with thunderbird. I have 2 computers one is dsl and the other is on a networking card installed by the dsl people. I was using AVG with no problems. We could download email independently on both computers. One day one of the computers stopped receiving emails. I replaced AVG with Avast and that computer again began receiving emails. However, the second then stopped receiving emails. I replaced AVG with AVAST in that computer and I got a few emails but not all the mail we were getting on the other. I checked with our server and I was told the server was empty. So can anyone help me with this problem-where is the email going when it leaves the server for the second computer. Thanks, Lloyd

Sorry, I forgot to include all my questions. How can I disable Avast to see if that is the problem? Lloyd
