Windoes Media Player cannot access the file error
« on: February 08, 2009, 02:19:25 PM »
Hi All,

I have an issue when I move files between folders.
I moved some video clips between folders.

Before I moved them, I can play them fine in Media Player.
After I moved them I get the above error message.

When I try to move the same file again got this error:
"Cannot move (file): Access is denied. Make sure disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use".

Any ideas? This only happened after I install Avast on my computer.

Thanks.

Well avast doesn't block, it scans files and alerts to infection, none of the messages are avast messages but file system messages.

So I feel this is merely a co-incidence it happened after installing avast, there could however be other contributing factors.

Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
