Avast icon

Hi
The Avast icon that sits on the desktop has stopped moving.  Does this mean that the software has stopped working also?

You do mean the blue globe in the System Tray has stopped 'rotating', don't you?
The avast! Desktop shortcut icon should not move. :o

By default the tray icon rotates when avast! is working so it will start and stop as the need arises. If it doesn't 'rotate' at all (and you have not unchecked the 'rotate' setting) then there may be a problem.
