After installing avast 4 professional edition My computer would not connect to the internet. I think it had something to do with a conflicting firewall?
With the help of my local cable internet provider (I could not correspond with avast via internet at that time and / or by phone because they do not provide their phone number on the printout 'receipt' when I purchased by order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) he suggested I uninstall the avast program. I then did that and restarted my computer. Still no connection! Still thinking it might be a firewall problem I uninstalled my McAfee firewall. After I restarted my computer it then connected to the internet once again. My computer is up and running again but I have no antivirus program which I paid for just last week! What can I do? HELP!
