Hardware Cam issue!
« on: February 08, 2009, 09:43:50 AM »
Hi there,

I have a Logitech Quick cam Pro 9000, that works fine both with Windows Live & Yahoo Messenger 9.0 when I am using Vista 32 bit on my Dell notebook.

The Quick cam does not function with Yahoo messenger when I use XP MCE 2005 (fresh install) on the Sony Vaio VGC-LS1 machine.

The main issue is that in Camera Source I get Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32), Version: 5.1.2600.5512, which won't change.

Camera Settings when clicked opens a window displaying Video source, in that I get 3 options Slim capture, VGP-VCC1 & Logitech Quick Cam 9000.

When Quick Cam is selected both Yahoo & Quick cam crash.

Yahoo works fine when VGP-VCC1 is selected......

Hoping to hear your thoughts.

Am replying as the issue got resolved.

All note books/ desktops with built in TV Tuner cards would require it to be disabled, to use a usb web cam on that machine while using Yahoo IM 9.0
