system volume information was not scan
« on: February 20, 2009, 02:38:35 PM »
I have two separate hard drive. One harddrive I have partitioned into c: and d:. The other just one partition e:. When I run a scan using avast it will scan system volume information in c: and e: just fine. but it cannot scan the system volume information in d:. Anyone know what may cause this? I am the only user on the system and the administrator.

actually it said that for certain file it cannot scan because it cannot find the path. if it cannot find the path, how come it was able to display it in the result? I am confused.

Just guessing... maybe the file into system restore folder (D:\system volume information) is pointed to a non-existent path...
Do you have a dual boot system?
Can you post the file path and name (the one that can't be scanned)?
