how to remove "nmdfgds1.dll"?
« on: February 27, 2009, 10:31:33 AM »
I keep on getting notifications that my computer is affected by nmdfgds1.dll.
It's coming back when I restart the computer. I've done a boot scan every day for the last few days and I still keep getting the notification that its infected.

Can someone please help me?

Hi zzjill,

If avast! is missing it, try these free virus scanners:

DrWeb CureIT!
Kaspersky Virus removal Tool

Then try these free adware/spyware scanners. Download, install and update.

SUPERAntiSpyware Free
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

When you have finished, check for out-of-date and insecure software and update- this will reduce the risk of similar infections.

FWF - is it advisable to run MBAM and SAS in Winow$ safemode? Would they have a better chance of removing rootkits, malware and other malicious processes which load at startup?
