Raw disk access option greayed out

I am using Vista Home premium 64 bit and this option appears greyed out in avast, I can't enable it or disable it. I tried the repair option.

Because the boot-time scan isn't currently available in 64bit OSes.

So your question misses the salient part as this raw disk access is only for the boot-time scan.
