It doesn't really convince me a bit but that is something to know. As I've always known avg is not the same with AVAST in detection and protection (believe me i am not being a fanboy here) i will pass this one . Please don't spam us with such things and besides VB or something similar i wouldn't even boyher reading.
have a nice weekend

or this one : http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-gb/default.htm?mkt=en-gb#

I forgot about Windows Live OneCare.

A friend of mine uses it and she likes it because she says it is easy to use.

I also find this test quiet suspicious...

But what has to be said is that GData really uses these two engines (Avast + BitDef.), but not the most actual ones... (something like Avast 4.8.1201 or i don't know which one exactly...) so probably there have been improvements till the actual version 1335 which the original avast! can use and the gdata-avast-engine not... (and that there is something similar with bitdefender)...
but i don't know :)

That is basically what is said in the introductory notes of the submission of samples trapped in the honeynet being submitted to virustotal within 24hrs.

So it looks like after the submissions, the rolling totals and results are updated, so it is not bad in that respect.

Not quite, as it is only from sri.com's honeynet captured samples, however big that might be, but it wouldn't be as much as the sample submissions from all sources submittint to VT.

if avast can add my zilontrainer.exe to the list so its will be a -1 in missed files because i think he didnt want to add it when 35 or more anti virus detect it

PS : Its a Trojan-Spy Ardamax so well its still amazing look out http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/6284bd01c3556399650ea45195d18b6f and avast didnt wanna add it i still scan on the chest and he didnt added it so far im cryed i was about to execute it so i hope there a virustotal web that saved me :D

If you do a search for ardamax you will find that a) this is a legit keylogger, b) it was previously detected by avast, but then removed.

The problem with keyloggers is 'intent' there are legit programs and there are malicious ones and the legit ones can also be used for malicious intent, like any tool it can be used for good or evil and an anti-virus can't easily determine intent.

-= Even though it is legit.. I hope avast still classify it as a "possible riskware" & be included in its detections..
